Babar, Naseem star as Pakistan beat Netherlands by 9 runs to win series 3-0

Debut in this series against Netherlands, Naseem took 10 wickets in three matches

26 runs off 18 balls, 18 off 12 balls—Netherlands' victory was within reach. But due to lack of experience or not, the Dutch could not pull off a great win against Pakistan in the last match of the series in Rotterdam. Despite scaring Pakistan, they lost by 9 runs. Arki called it "come to the shore and swim!" Pakistan won the series 3-0. Today's win was Pakistan's eighth consecutive win in ODIs. For the second time in a row, they confused the opponent.

Batting first, Pakistan could not score too many runs. Stopped at 207 runs. The Netherlands could smell the victory as they chased. Vikramjit Singh and Tom Cooper's fourth wicket partnership of 81 runs off 99 balls was going well. But the hosts lost their way when Vikramjit 50 and Cooper returned to 65 runs. Needing 99 runs off 120 balls, with 7 wickets in hand, the Netherlands lost the match even with such an equation.

Pakistan's two best bowlers were Mohammad Wasim and Naseem Shah. Before and after Wasim, Nasim Shah broke the Dutch batting lineup. This right-handed pacer was also the man of the match with 5 wickets for 33 runs. Wasim took 4 wickets for 36 runs. The Dutch innings stopped at 197 runs, after 49.2 overs. Naseem Shah took 10 wickets in this series.

Naseem, who debuted in this series, has also created a great record. He is the first Pakistani to take 10 wickets in his first three ODIs. Earlier among Pakistanis, leg-spin-legend Abdul Qadir took the highest 9 wickets in his first three ODIs. He is the first Pakistani bowler to take 5 wickets against Netherlands. Earlier, Walker Younis got 4 wickets.

Pakistan could not bat even 50 overs. They were bundled out for 206 runs in 49.4 overs. The best batsman of the team was the captain Babar Azmai. Babar, who got his 22nd half-century of his career, also raised the possibility of a century. However, Aryan Dutt caught a wonderful return catch for 91 runs. There were 7 fours and 2 sixes in the 125-ball innings. With this, Babar was out for the fourth time in the 'shaky ninety'. Although the record says that Pakistan do not lose a match if Babar gets out in the 90s.

Pakistan washed the netherlands with sweat

Abdullah Shafiq made his ODI debut for Pakistan today. But he could not stay long. He returned in the second over of the innings. Babar came and took control of Pakistan's innings. However, another opener, Fakhar Zaman, was dismissed for 26 off 43 balls. Agha Salman scored 24 off 42 balls. The rest of Pakistan's batsmen could not provide much support to captain Babar.

For the Netherlands, Bas de Lide took 3 wickets with 50 runs. 2 wickets Vivian Kingmar. Aryan Dutt, Sharis Ahmed and Von Beek took 1 wicket each.
