New coach Christophe Galtier and sporting director Luis Campos have started to make their mark at PSG. Not the star, but their focus is now on bringing in effective players one after another for the needs of the team. Portuguese midfielder Vitinia was signed by PSG from FC Porto a few days ago, while young French striker Hugo Ekiti has also come his way.

This time, Galtier-Campos duo has focused on the defense. The club has brought in French rightback Nordy Mukielle from German club RB Leipzig.

Mukiel has long been eyed by PSG mainly to play back-and-forth with main right-back Ashraf Hakimi. Leipzig's contract with Mukiel ends next season, so PSG is getting this defender at a fairly low price. All in all, PSG is spending 1.6 million euros on Mukiel. Mukiele has already agreed to PSG's proposal on personal salaries.

Mukiel has a contract with PSG until 2025. Mukiel has been sports director Campos' favorite player for a long time. Not only the right back, this defender can also play as a center back. After shining for French club Montpellier in the 2017-18 season, this defender signed for Leipzig.

The interesting thing is that Mukiel came to Leipzig in exchange for that 1 crore 60 million euros from Mpeleye. He is going to PSG for the same price after playing 100 league matches for the German club in four years. That is, no profit on paper, there is no loss for Leipzig.

This 24-year-old defender has already made his debut for France. Mukiele came on as a substitute against Finland last September. France coach Didier Deschamps brought Mukiel down in place of rightback Leo Dubois in the 67th minute. France won that match 2-0.
